The Plains at Parish Homestead is an active adult community located in the heart of the
Leatherstocking Region in Oneonta, New York. This 31 acre community, owned and operated
by Living Communities, brings a delightful, new style of living to the Oneonta area. The
Heritage, the Plains independent, assisted living residence and memory care apartments,
opened to receive new community members on June 21, 2010.
The Plains at Parish Homestead caters to individuals who are 55 and older and explores a
lifestyle which encourages growth, learning and expanding one’s creativity. Community
members take advantage of multiple social and recreational opportunities at The Plains and
enjoy the cultural, social and athletic opportunities that the Oneonta community has to offer.
